Pitcher of the day: Chamberlain's Anthony Gordon pitched a three-hit gem against East Bay. The senior right-hander retired the first 15 he faced, allowing just one ball out of the infield during that stretch. Gordon went the distance, fanning eight.

Hitter(s) of the day: Sickles DH Michael Cora went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles off the fence. ...Spoto's Arley Benton was 2-for-4, including a tying two-run homer with one out in the seventh.

Defensive gem of the day: Little went right for the Indians, but they did turn a quick 5-4-3 double play on a sharp liner by Austin Black.

Did you know?: There has been no shortage of homers at Chamberlain. There have been long balls in each of the first five games, seven total.
