Scores: Freedom 4, Sickles 1 Robinson 11, Bloomingdale 2 Newsome 10, Plant City 0 (6 innings) Pitcher of the day: Newsome had another stellar outing from a starting pitcher as senior Matt Greer pitched a complete-game two hitter. Greer struck out 10 as the Wolves advanced out of the bracket with a tiebreaker win, having allowed the fewest runs. Hitter of the day: Freedom's Zac Predomo was 1-for-3 on the day, but made his one count with a two-run homer for the Patriots in the fourth. Defensive gem of the day: Robinson first baseman Spencer Montague showed tremendous hustle, ranging back in foul territory to make a over-the-shoulder basket catch. Did you know?: After earning his first save of the season in a 5-3 win over Plant City on Monday, Knights pitcher Trace Venegas improved to 1-0 on the season, striking out nine Bulls. Dugout chatter: "We finally got to the point where we are ahead of the pitcher. I preach aggressiveness, pick your pitch and put pressure on that pitcher." - Robinson coach Brandon Genovesi after his Knights had five extra-base hits.
