Shelf life Look for these new items at stores where you shop for food or kitchen equipment. New skinny treats Skinny Cow has added new flavors to its reduced fat and sugar frozen treats. They are: - Improved Low Fat Fudge Bar. This revamped bar has delicious fudge flavor and still weighs in at 100 calories and 1 gram of fat. Packaged six to a box. - Low Fat Mini Fudge Pops. With 50 calories each, these creamy pops are the perfect size to satisfy chocolate cravings fast without guilt. Packaged 12 to a box. - Mint Fudge Low Fat Ice Cream Cones. With 150 calories and 3 grams of fat, the refreshing, low-fat mint ice cream topped with fudge on a crisp chocolate-coated waffle cone is a good anytime treat. Packaged in boxes of four. Look for the products, each with a suggested retail of $4.99 per package, in supermarket freezer sections. These cupcake holders are clowning around Wilton's Silly-Feet silicone cupcake holders do most of the decorating work for you. The brightly colored, 2-inch-wide holders are oven-safe to 500 degrees. Pour the batter directly in or use cupcake liners. A package of four is $10 at Michael's craft stores, big-box department stores and online at wilton.com/store. These chips contain food! It says so on the label. Frito-Lay's new Rare Earth chips promise a half-serving of fruits or vegetables in each 1-ounce portion. There are better ways to get fruits and vegetables, of course, than baked chips, even ones that contain pumpkin, as does the Garlic & Herb Field flavor. But as a substitute for fried potato chips, they're worth considering as a way station on the voyage from junk to better to best (real, unprocessed fruits and veggies or dried fruit chips).
