Find cars, carnival, bargains at Chasco

The popular flea market will continue into early afternoon.

NEW PORT RICHEY - The 83rd edition of Chasco Fiesta continues today through April 1, with a Native American Festival, a carnival, live entertainment and several special events.

The day will start at 8 a.m., as Gulfside Corvette Club convenes the Chasco Car, Truck and Bike Show around Orange Lake near Sims Park. The show runs until 3 p.m.

Those who come early can buy a pancake and sausage breakfast prepared by the Cotee River Lions Club and served from 8 to 11 a.m. Other food booths will open later.

Another popular event, the Chasco Fiesta Flea Market, opens at 9:30 a.m. for six hours of bargain hunting at the New Port Richey Recreation Center, 6630 Van Buren St. This year's market is hosted by First United Methodist Church and continues on Monday and Tuesday.

Live entertainment will run from noon to 9 p.m, with an amateur Talent Search Showcase from noon to 4 p.m. and professionals performing from 6 to 9 p.m. in a Magical Night of Entertainment with Radio Disney.
