AS BUSH SHARPENS UP HIS VETO PENCIL The Senate could begin to debate as early as today a bill financing the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that calls for troops out of Iraq by March 2008; the House voted Friday to pass a similar measure. What? Talk a little louder Noise levels will be high this weekend on both sides of Tampa Bay: The flag drops for the Honda Grand Prix St. Petersburg, right, on Friday, and the MacDill Airfest 2007 takes off Saturday. Some of the noise will be grumbling from St. Pete officials, still unhappy that the Airfest people chose Grand Prix weekend for their event. The hard-boiled title character is as closely tailored to star Jeff Goldblum as his skinny suits, and the show is smart, subtle and beautifully crafted, which doesn't bode well for it in the geeks 'n' freaks amateur hour network TV has become. Glad you're back, guys Cake is in order for three old pros who have made impressive comebacks. Actor Alan Arkin, who won an Oscar (for Little Miss Sunshine) 40 years after his first nomination, is 73 today. On Thursday, Eric Idle, who spun his Monty Python days into the hit musical Spamalot, will be 64. And on Saturday, Al Gore, called out for the count in 2000, turns 59.
