Three are arrested after unidentified man is found dead

Police have arrested three men in the death of a transient. Police are not identifying the dead man until next of kin is notified. A transient called the Tarpon Springs Police Department about 11 a.m. Sunday to report a body in an empty plot of land on U.S. 19, north of the Anclote River. Police arrested three men, all transients, in connection with the death. Del Ray Adams, 46, was charged with first- degree murder. John E. Windh, 52, was charged with first- degree murder and resisting an officer without violence. Craig Kennedy, 48, was charged with simple battery and trespassing. The death was being investigated by the Tarpon Springs Police Department, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Forensics Unit, the State Attorney's Office and the county Medical Examiner's Office.
