Number of the day 0.4 Nielsen rating for last Monday's Rangers-Penguins game, making it the most-watched NHL regular-season telecast ever for Versus, which started showing games last season. That's the good news. The bad news? A Big East men's tournament quarterfinal game between West Virginia and Louisville earlier this month earned a 0.9 rating for ESPN. Rumor of the day Sacramento Kings controversial forward Ron Artest, according to ESPN.com, is telling teammates that he might retire after the season. Artest wouldn't confirm or deny making such comments, telling ESPN.com's Marc Stein in an e-mail: "We can talk about it after (the) playoffs."
