Friends of Strays Astro is a 4-month-old Lab/basset hound mix. Astro was born with a bad back leg, and it had to be amputated. He is very sweet and gets around just fine on three legs. I was lucky enough to meet Astro at the shelter when we adopted 2 cats last month. He is so sweet and he doesn't even know that he is missing a leg. I tried to talk my husband into taking him home, we have 2 ridgebacks and he didn't think we had room

I adopted a three legged dog from a rescue group,having lost it in an automobile accident. He is a great dog and is not hindered in the least. Don't let the missing leg stop you from adopting this fine animal.
