Students are invited to attend Academy Day

BROOKSVILLE U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite invites high school students in the 5th Congressional District to attend Academy Day from 6 to 7 p.m. April 10 in the County Commission chambers at the Hernando County Government Center, 20 N Main St. The event will include representatives of military service academies. Students interested in attending a military service academy are encouraged to attend, speak with representatives and learn the requirements to be eligible for a congressional appointment to one of the academies. Reservations are required. Those wishing to attend must RSVP by April 9. Call 799-8354 or toll-free 1-866-492-4835.
