Published March 29, 2007

Former Rep. Mark Foley remains under criminal investigation for sexually explicit Internet communications he had with underage boys, more than six months after he resigned from Congress, federal and state authorities said Wednesday. "It's definitely still an active investigation," Florida Department of Law Enforcement spokeswoman Kristen Perezluha said. Foley resigned Sept. 29.

New info in case of missing 2-year-old

Authorities said Wednesday they are looking for new clues in the disappearance of a 2-year-old boy. A witness told Marion County sheriff's detectives he saw a couple in a Cadillac Escalade with Melinda Duckett, the mother of missing Trenton Duckett, the week before he disappeared Aug. 27. The couple, described as Asian or Hispanic in their late 50s to early 60s, were driving a silver or gold sport utility vehicle with a possible New York tag, said Marion County sheriff's spokeswoman Susan Livoti. Trenton's mother committed suicide Sept. 8 after being questioned aggressively about the disappearance by CNN talk show host Nancy Grace during a taped program.
