Diversions: Coming attractions

THROUGH MAY 5

'Kyoto Rediscovered: Paintings & Collages by Jim Sikes' is at the Pasco Art Council's art center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday, through May 5. A reception with the artist is from 5 to 7 p.m. April 13. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Free.

THURSDAY

The Thursday Musicale, a 50-women nonsectarian chorus, will perform classical, gospel, musical theater, pop tunes and novelty numbers at 2 p.m. Thursday at Living Word Church, 5151 Rowan Road, New Port Richey. The Jubilee Men's Chorus will be guest artists. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.

THROUGH FRIDAY

West Pasco Art Guild continues its "Flora & Fauna" art exhibit through Friday. It features floral arrangements by the New Port Richey Garden Club and wood carvings by Calusa Woodcarvers. Gallery hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The gallery is at 6206 Jefferson St., New Port Richey.

SATURDAY

The Judy Garland-Fred Astaire film Easter Parade will be shown at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. The film is part of the theater and New Port Richey Public Library's series of classic movies. Admission is free.

SATURDAY

The DVD of 'Explosive Dance' will be shown at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art video center, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. The dancers perform ballet, salsa, flamenco, Irish dance and the Lindy Hop. Free.

SUNDAY

A DVD of Donizetti's 'L'elisir D'Amore' will be shown at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art video center, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. Free.

APRIL 12-MAY 4

Large acrylics by Sally M. Segal will be exhibited April 12 through May 4 at West Pasco Art Guild, Inc., 6206 Jefferson St., New Port Richey. Gallery hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

APRIL 13-15; 20-22

'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' a drama, will be presented at the Forum at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Shows are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $10. Call 352 683-5113.

APRIL 13

A video of Wagner's opera The Flying Dutchman will be shown at 2 p.m. April 13 at New Port Richey Library, 5939 Main St., New Port Richey. Discussion leader will be Jerry Ciarcia.

APRIL 15

Richey Concert Band will present "Concert in the Park" at 2:30 p.m. at the band shell at Sims Park, downtown New Port Richey. The program includes Barry Manilow's "Can't Smile Without You", the Beatles' "When I'm 64" and others. Those who attend should take a folding chair and may take a picnic lunch.

APRIL 16

The History Club of New Port Richey Library will discuss "Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant - Why?" at 2 p.m. April 16 at the city library, 5939 Main St., New Port Richey. Discussion leader is Jerry Ciarcia.

APRIL 17

The movie 'Rocky Balboa' will be shown at 1 p.m. April 17 at the Tarpon Springs Community Center, 400 S. Walton Ave., Tarpon Springs. Admission is free.

APRIL 18

The History Club of the Tarpon Springs Library on Lemon Street will discuss "The Continental Congress" at 1:30 p.m. April 18. Discussion leader is Jerry Ciarcia.
