Petey is a 2-month-old black and white beagle mix. He is friendly with people and other animals. Petey lives in Pen B22 at Animal Service. Inquiries about adopting Petey or other dogs and cats can be made at Hernando County Animal Services, 19450 Oliver St., Brooksville. The shelter is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays; and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays. The adoption fee is $45 for cats and $65 for dogs, to cover the cost of rabies shot, heartworm testing, worming and spaying/neutering, and includes a Hernando County license.
