A poker run sponsored by Florida Cancer Institute, New Port Richey and Bookkeeping Plus, is set for April 21. Registration is at 9 a.m. at the Harley-Davidson Golf Coast, 5817 State Road 54 in New Port Richey. All proceeds will benefit the upcoming American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Cost is $10 per person. The last bike will leave at 11 a.m. and there will be four stops ending at the Seaside Inn, New Port Richey. Pasco-Hernando Community College will host its annual High School Health Careers Conference for local high school students from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The conference offers an overview of health professions to high school student interested in a health care career. Hernando-Pasco Hospice has transition groups open to anyone who is grieving. Eight-week support groups are led by counselors for any adult who is trying to better cope with the loss of a loved one. The Pasco County Chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness offers support group meetings twice a month for family and friends of those with mental illness. This includes depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, autism, bi-polar, schizophrenia and Alzheimer's. A group meets from 3:30 to 5 p.m. April 16 at Regency Park Community Center, 10240 Regency Park Blvd. in Port Richey. Night groups meet from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday and April 23 in the Resource Room at Community Hospital, 5637 Marine Parkway, New Port Richey.
