Army Pvt. Shayne E. McKeever, son of Edward L. McKeever of St. Petersburg, has graduated from the Parachute Rigger Course at the 262nd Quartermaster Battalion, Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va.

Army Pvt. James W. Marsh, son of James and Janet Marsh of St. Petersburg, has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky.

Army Pvt. Charles H.F. Rhodes, brother of Roberta Blosser of St. Petersburg, has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is a 1996 graduate of Boca Ciega High School.

Seaman Apprentice Charles Simons, son of Charles and Linda Simons of St. Petersburg, recently was promoted to Seaman. He is with the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Suncoast Squadron.

These recruits have graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C:

Army Pvt. Valerie R. Chandler, daughter of Mike and Patty Catlin of St. Petersburg.

Army National Guard Pvt. Tabitha A. Davis, daughter of Robert and Laura Davis and granddaughter of Robert and Donna Davis, all of Seminole, and a 2003 graduate of Seminole High School.

Army Pvt. Christopher O. Holmes, son of Chris Holmes of St. Petersburg and Kathy Rego of Brooksville.

Army Pvt. Aaron J. Jadallah, son of Yusri Jadallah of St. Petersburg.

Army Pvt. Leonard G. Thiewes, son of Leonard and Michele Thiewes of St. Petersburg and a 2004 graduate of St. Petersburg High School.
