KENNETH CITY PLANNING UNDER WAY FOR TOWN'S JULY 4 PARADE, FESTIVAL Kenneth City is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and planning is under way for the town's annual July 4 Independence Day parade and festival. Organizers say the popular event attracts thousands of residents each year. This year's special theme is "Happy Birthday." Planners are seeking businesses, community associations, marching bands, and civic organizations to participate in the 1-mile parade that starts at 9 a.m. on July 4. Registration forms are available at City Hall at 6000 54th Ave. N. There are no registration fees to march in the parade. Festival organizers also seek businesses and organizations willing to sponsor children's activities, including games and bounce houses. For information about sponsorships, contact Jim Millican at 526-5650. Homeowners pancake breakfast is Saturday The next Kenneth City Homeowners pancake breakfast is scheduled for Saturday. All residents are welcome to attend, share breakfast and meet neighbors. When: 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday. Where: Kenneth City Community Hall, 4600 58th St. N. PINELLAS PARK 3 yard sales will bring out bargain hunters Saturday is the day for bargain hunters in Pinellas Park. Three community yard sales will benefit nonprofit causes. The Giant Pinellas Park Yard Sale, sponsored by the Pinellas Park Police Department, CPA Alumni Association, Police Volunteers and Explorer Post 912 is this Saturday. All proceeds of the annual sale go to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. When: 8 a.m. until sold out Saturday. Where: England Brothers Bandshell Town Square Plaza, 5121 80th Ter.
