NORTH PINELLAS

Dry conditions and increased residential use are forcing Pinellas County utilities to make reclaimed water available certain days a week in North Pinellas. Beginning this week, residential customers south of Alderman Road and west of U.S. 19 will have reclaimed water available for 24-hour intervals on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Residential customers in other North Pinellas service areas, including those on the east side of Lake Tarpon, will have reclaimed water available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. On Mondays, the reclaimed water system will be down for maintenance and pond recovery. County officials encourage reclaimed water customers to limit watering to the hours before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. to minimize evaporation. County officials say the new irrigation schedule will remain in effect until July 30 or seasonal rains replenish storage ponds. Call (727) 464-4273 or visit www.pinellascounty.org/utilities.
