Tampa Prep gets nice showings in several events from male and female competitors.

LARGO - A handful of multiple-event qualifiers guided Tampa Prep out of District 9 at Indian Rocks Christian on Thursday and into next week's region meet at Naples.
The boys finished fourth among eight and the girls fifth.
Cambridge finished fifth and Tampa Baptist eighth among the boys - all behind team winner Northside Christian.
Bayshore Christian was seventh and Tampa Baptist eighth on the girls side, also behind champion Northside Christian.
Junior Thomas Coverson won the shot put and discus and also was decent on his feet, helping Tampa Prep to second place in the boys 4x100-meter relay with David Marcus, Cameron McNabb and Ignacio Gallardo. TP also took the 4x800.
Tawsha Asher beat the pack by more than two seconds in the girls 1,600 and finished second in the 800 for Tampa Prep.
Malissa Gallogly qualified in six events for Cambridge, which also got good results from both Bateman sisters, Lauren and Megan, who qualified in multiple events as well.
David Greg, a senior, won the 200 meters and crossed the line second by a hair in the 100 for Tampa Baptist.
