Large acrylics by Sally M. Segal will be exhibited through May 4 at West Pasco Art Guild, Inc., 6206 Jefferson St., New Port Richey. Gallery hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

'Kyoto Rediscovered: Paintings & Collages by Jim Sikes' is at the Pasco Art Council's art center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday, through May 5. A reception with the artist is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Free.

Paintings, etchings, photographs and sculpture by Marc Venus will be at the Pasco-Hernando Community College Art Gallery in the library at the New Port Richey campus, 10230 Ridge Road. TODAY

The Pasco Schools All-County Jazz Band will perform at 4 p.m. today at the Pasco County Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel High School, 30651 Wells Rd., Wesley Chapel. The 41-member band will be directed by Ted Hope and Johbn Sinibaldi. Free.

SUNDAY

Richey Concert Band will present "Concert in the Park" at 2:30 p.m. at the band shell at Sims Park, downtown New Port Richey. The program includes Barry Manilow's "Can't Smile Without You", the Beatles' "When I'm 64" and others. Those who attend should take a folding chair and may take a picnic lunch.

MONDAY

The History Club of New Port Richey Library will discuss "Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant - Why?" at 2 p.m. April 16 at the city library, 5939 Main St., New Port Richey. Discussion leader is Jerry Ciarcia.

TUESDAY

The movie 'Rocky Balboa' will be shown at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Tarpon Springs Community Center, 400 S. Walton Ave., Tarpon Springs. Admission is free.

WEDNESDAY

The History Club of the Tarpon Springs Library on Lemon Street will discuss "The Continental Congress" at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Discussion leader is Jerry Ciarcia.

WEDNESDAY

Frank Parson's Big Band will play "Duke Ellington Tribute" at 2 p.m. at Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand. Blvd., New Port Richey. Tickets are $7. The May 16 show is "Spring Fest" with tickets are $6. Call (727) 842-6777.

FRIDAY

Centennial Opera Group will show a video of Frederick Delius's A Village Romeo and Juliet at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Centennial Park Library, 5740 Moog Rd., Holiday. The video was scheduled to be shown in April but was delayed in transit from Tallahassee. The video was filmed in the Czech Republic to match the pastoral nature of the opera. Free.

Wagner's opera 'Das Rheingold' will be performed in English at 8 p.m. Friday and April 27 and 2 p.m. April 22 and 29 at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. Das Rheingold is the first of four parts of The Ring of the Nibelung. Tickets are $16. Call (727) 942-5605. (Note: An introduction and discussion of the opera will be held at 2 p.m. April 14 in the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S. Pinellas Ave., [Alt. 19]. Admission is free.)

APRIL 21

The Jacaranda Poetry Festival and Awards will be held at 1 p.m. April 21 at the Pasco Arts Council, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. Some 113 poems were entered in the first festival competition, and winners will be announced sometime during the afternoon. Performance poet Stazja McFadyen will read some of the entries. Other poets will read their own or others' entries.

APRIL 21

'Shakespere's Sisters, Shakespeare's Sonnets' will be the topic of an interactive presentation by Carmine Bell at 3 p.m. April 21 at New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St., New Port Richey. Works by Shakespeare and female sonnet writers Lady Mary Wroth, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Edna St. Vincent Millay will be discussed. Ms. Bell teaches at Pasco-Hernando Community College.

APRIL 22

The Thursday Musicale women's chorus will present singers John and Mary K. Wilson at 2 p.m. at the Living Word Church, 5151 Rowan Rd., New Port Richey. Tickets are $5; call (727) 841-7631 or 847-5920. Tickets are also available at the door.

APRIL 25

The History Club of the Hudson Library on Fivay Road will discuss "United States Constitution - the Law of the Land" at 1:30 p.m. April 25. Discussion leader is Jerry Ciarcia.

The third annual 'Golden Revue,' a variety show by ages 50 and older, will be presented at Stage West Community Playhouse at 8 p.m. April 27 and 28 and 2 p.m. April 29. Tickets are $10.
