THROUGH MAY 5 'Kyoto Rediscovered: Paintings & Collages by Jim Sikes' is at the Pasco Art Council's art center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday, through May 5. The video was scheduled to be shown in April but was delayed in transit from Tallahassee. The video was filmed in the Czech Republic to match the pastoral nature of the opera. Free. FRIDAY, April 22, 27 AND 29 Wagner's opera 'Das Rheingold' will be performed in English at 8 p.m. Friday and April 27 and 2 p.m. April 22 and 29 at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. Das Rheingold is the first of four parts of The Ring of the Nibelung. Tickets are $16. Call (727) 942-5605. APRIL 21 The Jacaranda Poetry Festival and Awards will be held at 1 p.m. April 21 at the Pasco Arts Council, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. Some 113 poems were entered in the first festival competition, and winners will be announced sometime during the afternoon. Performance poet Stazja McFadyen will read some of the entries. Other poets will read their own or others' entries. APRIL 21 'Shakespere's Sisters, Shakespeare's Sonnets' will be the topic of an interactive presentation by Carmine Bell at 3 p.m. April 21 at New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St., New Port Richey. Works by Shakespeare and female sonnet writers Lady Mary Wroth, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Edna St. Vincent Millay will be discussed. Ms. Bell teaches at Pasco-Hernando Community College. APRIL 22 The Thursday Musicale women's chorus will present singers John and Mary K. Wilson at 2 p.m. at the Living Word Church, 5151 Rowan Rd., New Port Richey.
