Patrick Hession of Team Last Call wins the Rotary Club of Clearwater's tournament on Saturday.

Patrick Hession of Team Last Call caught a 48.48-pound kingfish to win the Rotary Club of Clearwater's 15th Annual Kingfish Tournament on Saturday at Coachman Park. The top prize was $10,000.

Hession was unavailable for comment. However, tournament officials reported that the winning king was caught on a live baitfish in 55 feet of water in the Egmont Channel area.

Frank Struchen of Team Happy Bones took second place with a 42.87-pound king. Justin Mastry of Team Hooker placed third at 37.56 pounds, Todd Guarnieri of Team Fish Bone finished fourth with a 33.45-pound king, and Nathan Thomas of Team Everglades was fifth at 30.96 pounds.

Warren Williams of Team Top Gun won the Junior Division with a 28.07-pound king, and Stacie Price, who fished on Team Happy Bones, won the event's Rotarian Award.

The event attracted 164 boats. Proceeds support beneficiaries including the Children's Dream Fund and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
