RUMOR CARRIES NO WEIGHT FOR 'POSH SPICE'

Now this is the way to work yourself into the hearts and minds of Americans, Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham: Have us imagining you at the Taco Bell drive-in at 2 a.m. stocking up on chalupas and then rushing into the 7-Eleven for a bottle of wine before last call. Ex-Spice Girl Beckham is trying to go from Brit pop to U.S. pussycat doll as she and soccer-playing husband David move to Los Angeles for him to be America's next savior of the sport. One of those ever-present anonymous "friends" tried to help her cause by saying that Victoria, tired of being called underweight, decided to eat more, but the only way she could get the munchies was by drinking a glass or two of wine. She even wanted to have a big wine cooler in her house when she finds one in Los Angeles and was already checking out California wines. But then our hopes were ripped off the vine and shoved in the crushing machine like they were a bunch of ripe chardonnay grapes. Victoria's spokeswoman said that the comments in Britain's Closer were "utterly ridiculous and there is no truth in it at all."
