BASEBALL

St. Petersburg RBI

The league for players 13-19 years old will hold registration from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday and April 28 and May 5 and 12 at Oliver Field at Campbell Park. Participants must have a birth certificate, proof of a physical, two photo IDs and $45 registration fee. For information, call John at 374-6987.

Baseball camps

USF baseball coach Lelo Prado will offer day camps for youths ages 7-18 June 11-15, 18-22 and July 9-13 at Red McEwen Field. Two camps will be in Brandon at South Brandon Little League on July 16-20 and July 23-27. All of these camps will be in session from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and will cost $180 for the week. On June 25-28 the Bulls will hold a camp for 13-18-year-olds from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. This camp will also cost $180 for the week. For more information, contact Greg Parris at Gregory.Parris@sdhc.k12.fl.us

Football

The city of Largo will hold an outreach football clinic at the Ridgecrest YMCA Saturday from 4-8 p.m. Registration for the free clinic is 3-4 p.m. at the YMCA football field. For information, call 559-0500.

Officials wanted

Coaches training

The city of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department and USF Health Department's Sports Medicine and Athletic Related Trauma Institute have teamed up to offer the National Center for Sports Safety training course PREPARE for all volunteers, paid staff and others who coach youth in any sport and at any level. The free course is offered today from 5:30-10 p.m. at Ragan Park Community Center, 1200 E Lake, Tampa. Pre-registration required.
