Unless otherwise noted, phone numbers are area code 727. Continuing Farmer's Market: From jicamas to pineapples, the Downtown Clearwater Farmers Market is full of fresh food. The weekly market is celebrating its 12th year of offering seasonal fruits, vegetables, cheeses, breads and honey from all over the country. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each Wednesday until Wednesday in front of Clearwater City Hall. In addition to fresh fruit, homemade chocolate and macaroni, there is homemade honey from a Pinellas source that comes in seasonal flavors. The event also features other ready-to-eat food such as hot dogs, popcorn and ribs. The market is 99 percent green, which means the majority of the sellers offer food, not crafts. However, jewelry and some kitchen linens are for sale. There is music from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The weekly meet is also a Jolly Trolley stop and nets more than 500 visitors. Call 461-7674. 'Adventures in Opera': The Pinellas Opera League, in conjunction with the Marcia P. Hoffman Institute, is holding "Adventures in Opera," a series of Wednesday programs from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the theater of the Marcia P. Hoffman Performing Arts Institute at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 N McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater. The remaining program is: -Wednesday: "Children in Opera," presented by Larson. Cost is $5.
