Six degrees of separation for county basketball and football news and notes.

St. Petersburg forward Geno Green and guard Anthony Ogunleye will sign Thursday with Paine College, a Division II program in Augusta, Georgia.

Green, a 6-foot-5 forward, averaged 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Green Devils while Ogunleye played point.

...Paine is in the same conference as Benedict, which lost to Eckerd in the Division II playoffs this year. Eckerd is the top choice for Clearwater senior guard Justin Morin, a Times' second-team all-county selection. Morin made an overnight visit to campus last week and said he is just waiting to see how much scholarship money he qualifies for.

...Morin's teammate, junior Luke Loucks, said he plans to participate in spring football practice next week. Loucks, a four-star basketball recruit, was also a Times' second-team all-county quarterback last season, but debated for months whether to play both next season.

...Loucks plays for Clearwater, neighborhood rivals of Countryside, which had interviews Monday for its boys basketball opening. Largo assistant Mark Carter spoke with the school's six-member coaching committee, saying "it went well," but administrators say there's no decision yet.
