Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Ross Byrne, son of Robert and Deanne Byrne of St. Petersburg, has retired after 21 years of service. He served in Postal Operations in England and in Life Support and Financial Management at several bases in the United States. His last assignment was as Wing Life Support superintendent at McChord Air Force Base, Washington. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Commendation medal with three oak leaf clusters. He is working as a civilian employee for the 62nd Operational Support Squadron at McChord AFB. He is a 1982 graduate of St. Petersburg Catholic High School and has a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in administration.
Army Pvt. Davie Bradley, son of Juanita Bradley of St. Petersburg, has graduated from Infantryman One Station Unit Training, a combination basic training and advanced individual training, at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is a 2005 graduate of Dixie Hollins High School.
Army Pvt. Savanna L. Delamotte, sister of Dana Narron of St. Petersburg, was an honor graduate of basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
Army Pfc. Rosalyn T. Hinton, niece of Linda McKenzie of St. Petersburg, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
These recruits have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas:
Air Force Airman 1st Class Andrew J. Bird, son of Michael J. Bird of Pinellas Park, a 1999 graduate of Lakewood Center for Advanced Technologies and a 2006 graduate of the University of Central Florida, Orlando.
Air Force Airman Reginald L. Clark, son of Reginald Clark and Janice Clark, both of St. Petersburg, and a 2005 graduate of St. Petersburg High School.
Air Force Airman Alan W. Stokling, son of Loretta and Alan Stokling of St. Petersburg and a 2005 graduate of Lakewood High School.
