Guest violinist plays Brahms

German violinist Viviane Hagner is the soloist in the Brahms Violin Concerto this weekend with the Florida Orchestra, Stefan Sanderling conducting. The program also includes the overture to Weber's Der Freischutz and Schumann's Symphony No. 3 ("Rhenish"). The curtain raiser is a premiere by David Rogers, whose Agatha overture is an answer to the Weber opera, which has a character named Agatha. Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday at Ferguson Hall of the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Tampa; 8 p.m. Saturday at the Mahaffey Theater, St. Petersburg; and 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater. $17-$52.
