Giggles Comedy Club will feature Los Angeles comic Phill Perrier (Comedy Central, TNN Networks) and comic Jim Moran from 8:30 to 10 p.m. today in the Trio Lounge at the Quality Inn Hotel, 5316 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Wagner's opera 'Das Rheingold' will be performed in English at 8 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. Das Rheingold is the first of four parts of The Ring of the Nibelung. Tickets are $16. Call (727) 942-5605.
The third annual 'Golden Revue,' a variety show by ages 50 and older, will be presented at Stage West Community Playhouse at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10. The annual Spring Bluegrass Festival will be held at Sertoma Youth Ranch off Clay Hill Road northwest of Dade City. Tickets for all three days are $45 at the gate. Call (352) 754-3082. Performances are 1:30 to 11 p.m. Friday ($20); 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday ($20); and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday ($12). Ages 12 and younger, free with an adult ticket buyer. Camping with or without electrical hookup available.
The Shakespeare Festival on the Hill at PHCC will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Pasco-Hernando Community College's Brooksville campus, 11415 Ponce de Leon Blvd. Performances of The Taming of the Shrew will be done throughout the day. There will be a village marketplace with demonstrations of blacksmithing, period games, embroidery and more. There will be jousting tournaments and weapons displays. Free.
Florida Highwayman artist R.L. Lewis will demonstrate his painting techniques, talk with visitors and sell his work from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St., New Port Richey.
The Sound of Sunshine Barbershop Chorus of Pasco County will present "Swinging Down Memory Lane Barbershop Style" at 2 p.m. Saturday at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 10337 U.S. 19, Port Richey.
