Business people get off to an early start

The Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce will meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Lexington Oaks Golf Club on State Road 54 in Wesley Chapel. Republicans offer a swinging benefit

The second annual Golf Tournament for the Pasco County Republican Party is set for Saturday at the Plantation Palms Golf and County Club. Garden Club closing its meeting season

The Land O'Lakes Garden Club members and guests will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday for their annual luncheon at Rapscallions restaurant, 4422 Land O'Lakes Blvd. This will be the last meeting until fall. Gala is good deed that tastes good

The Good Samaritan Health Clinic will have its first Nurses Gala on May 11 at the Seven Springs Golf and Country Club in New Port Richey. Registration is at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:15. Outback Steakhouse is preparing the dinner and the tickets are $35. The gala benefits the nonprofit clinic dedicated to providing medical and dental services to medically needy and the uninsured. Since 1990 physicians, dentists, physician's assistants, nurses, pharmacists and others have donated their time to help those who cannot afford health care. A chance for young hoopsters to learn

Wesley Chapel High School will host a basketball camp for boys and girls ages 6 through 14 from 8:30 a.m. to noon June 11-15 at the school at 30651 Wells Road. The cost is $85. Call coach Warren Jones at (813) 794-8400.
