'Studio 60' returns to NBC on May 24

NBC has set a "return" date for Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
The drama, which arrived last fall as the season's most hyped show and vanished amid sinking ratings, will move to 10 p.m. Thursdays in the ER slot starting May 24.
That Thursday is the day after the end of the crucial May sweeps period and comes a week after NBC reveals to advertisers whether critics' fave Studio 60 has a future on the network next season. It may be dead in the water, but its "temporary" replacement in the original Monday slot, the highly anticipated Black Donnellys, had even worse ratings. And isn't it time to put ER in the morgue? Its faux Grey's Anatomy treatment (Neela's involved with three men) is just too much of a stretch.
