Brooksville City Council late Tuesday chose former Seminole general services director Mitchell N. Bobowski as their top pick for city manager from among the three finalists in a council vote at 9:45 p.m.
The council's selection took two votes, with the first ending as a tie between Bobowski and former deputy county administrator for Hernando County Jennene Norman-Vacha. In the second vote, Bobowski earned 13 votes to Norman-Vacha’s 12.
Negotiations on a contract for Bobowski will begin immediately and the council may take up the contract at Monday’s regular meeting.
