Army Pvt. Eric J. Whitford, son of Rick Whitford of Seminole, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky.

Army Pvt. Lourenda P. Cooper, daughter of Robin L. Davis of St. Petersburg, has graduated from the Automated Logistical Specialist Advanced Individual Training course at the Army Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va. She is a 2006 graduate of Northeast High School.

These recruits have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas:

Air Force Airman Charles E. Mills, son of Charles and Mercy Mills of Seminole and a 2000 graduate of Seminole High School.

Air Force Airman Dmitriy V. Smolenskiy, son of Tatyana Smolenskaya of St. Petersburg and a 2006 graduate of Boca Ciega High School.
