BLOOMINGDALE - For most of his career, if Ridgewood pitcher Ben Koenigsfeld allowed only four hits it ended in a win. But Koenigsfeld's final game for Ridgewood ended on a seventh-inning, one-out, two-strike RBI bunt by Bloomingdale's Joey Latuf as the Bulls won 1-0.

"It's tough, " Koenigsfeld said. "It's tough knowing this is the last game."

The Rams struggled against Bloomingdale pitcher Zach Pietrzyk, reaching base seven times on three hits. The Rams also struggled on the bases as base-stealing missteps and missed calls by batters caused Ridgewood to run itself out of scoring position.

"We had our chances, " Rams coach Larry Beets said. "We do some crazy things on the bases with the bunting, the running and the squeezing because that is what we have to do."

The Rams had runners caught stealing twice and one runner tagged out at the plate for a third out after a missed squeeze call.

The difference came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Bulls picked up two singles. Bloomingdale catcher Joe Castellanos got the first hit and was relieved by speedup runner Travis Ragghianti.

Then Rolando Lopez hit a grounder up the middle just out of the reach of Rams shortstop Jay Mattos and Ragghianti advanced to third base. Finally Latuf's bunt drove in the winning run.
