TAMPA-The Bucs released defensive tackle Jon Bradley on Thursday and announced the signing of eight undrafted rookie free agents.
The new players, who will participate in the rookie minicamp beginning today: North Dakota State defensive tackle Justin Frick, Grand Valley State fullback Mike McFadden, Arkansas linebacker Sam Olajubutu, Hofstra tackle Jed Prisby, Michigan kicker Garrett Rivas (a former Jesuit High standout), Georgia Tech cornerback Kenny Scott, Syracuse linebacker Jerry Mackey and Cal fullback Byron Storer.
The 6-foot, 301-pound Bradley played parts of the past three seasons with the Bucs, recording 15 tackles in 26 games. He became expendable when Tampa Bay traded for Chiefs defensive tackle Ryan Sims.
FOLEY PLEADS GUILTY: Former Chargers linebacker Steve Foley pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving with a blood-alcohol level above California's legal limit the night he was followed and shot by an off-duty police officer.
Foley was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to submit to alcohol testing if requested by authorities. He also was ordered to pay a $1, 756 fine and appear at a public event for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
A related charge of driving under the influence was dropped, prosecutor James Koerber said.
Attorneys entered the plea on behalf of Foley, who was not in court. A trial had been set to begin next week.
BILLS: Free agent Josh Scobey signed, providing depth at running back and special teams. The five-year veteran played mostly on special teams last season for the Broncos.
BROWNS: Quarterback Brady Quinn gets his first chance with the team today when it opens a three-day minicamp for rookies. Quinn will practice for about an hour with the other draftees, including former Miami running back Tyrone Moss. He will be joined by nine undrafted free agents and 34 other players who will attend on a tryout basis.
DOLPHINS: Defensive end Jason Taylor was named team MVP for the fourth time.
EAGLES: Free agent defensive tackle Ian Scott, entering his fifth season out of Florida, signed a one-year contract. He had 41 tackles for the Bears last season, including the playoffs.
FACENDA LAWSUIT: The son of famed NFL announcer John Facenda can seek damages for the use of his father's voice on a program about a John Madden video game.
Facenda, in a written agreement signed before his 1984 death, gave the NFL full use of his announcing work except for product endorsement, according to the order of a federal judge.
John Facenda Jr. has been vigilant about protecting the use of his father's baritone. The ruling allows him to seek damages from a jury on the question of liability. The league said it will appeal.

It shows you the great lack of depth the Bucs have had recently when they couldn't even get cheeseburger in trade for Jon Bradley...
