Riverview took one more step toward a state flag football title with a 33-7 drubbing of Lakewood in a quarterfinal at West Boca Raton High. The Sharks face Fort Lauderdale Dillard, which beat Coconut Creek Monarch 19-7, at 3:30 today. Tallahassee Leon faces Palm Beach Gardens at 2 with the final at 7 tonight. Riverview scored a touchdown on its first possession, and Marissa Trugillo returned an interception 30 yards for a score on the Spartans' second possession. Riverview led 21-0 at halftime and 28-0 in the third quarter before Lakewood scored. On the Sharks' next drive, quarterback Michelle Trugillo ran 66 yards (the longest touchdown run in state playoff history) for a score. Michelle Trugillo rushed for two touchdowns and passed for two.
