Man shot during robbery recovering

A family friend of Jim Oleson said on Friday that he is "holding his own" after being shot during an armed robbery at Boyett's Grove and Citrus Attraction on April 25. "I'm happy to report that because it was definitely touch and go at the beginning," said Diane Bedard, a neighbor and friend of the Oleson family. Bedard, who spoke to reporters outside St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, said the Oleson family was grateful for the support they have received from the community for their business. She said the family is frustrated the robbers have not yet been caught but expressed confidence in the Hernando Sheriff's Office. Oleson's health is their primary concern for now. "It's like you get tunnel vision," Bedard said. "They just want Jim back." A trust fund has been set up for the Oleson family at Sun Trust banks in the Tampa Bay area. Anyone interested in making a donation should ask for the Jim Oleson In Trust account, said Will Darnell, a spokesman for St. Joseph's Hospital.
