Northside Church of Christ, 114025 Broad St., will host a Homecoming Gospel Meeting Sunday through Wednesday with Bible teacher Lawrence Adkins. "Golden Declarations from the Psalms" is the theme of the event, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and 7 to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Finger foods will be served each evening. St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 8064 Weeping Willow St., will host its annual spring picnic at noon May 20 and will feature Music by Kathy for your dancing pleasure and a menu of sausages, hot dogs, stuffed cabbage, kapusta, salads, desserts and coffee. St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 7922 State Road 52, will host a spring music celebration by its chancel choir and gospel singers at 3 p.m. Sunday. The church will also present a lecture by Dr. Robert Coughenour on "The Family Tomb of Jesus" at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the hall behind the church. Coughenour is an author, archaeologist, pastor and professor. Call 863-5646.


Ridge Manor United Methodist Church, 34350 Cortez Blvd., will host a blueberry pancake supper and homemade bake sale from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday. Scrambled eggs, applesauce and drinks will be served along with the pancakes at a cost of $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Profits will benefit the children's ministry.


Springs of Life Family Church has moved to 19832 County Line Road. Service times are 10:30 a.m. Sundays and 7 p.m. Thursdays. The interdenominational church offers a casual setting and contemporary worship. Children's church and nursery are available. Pastors are John and Sherral Grossi. Call 346-8139.

St. Paul the Apostle Apostolic Catholic Church will host a free concert by the Hernando Concert Club at 4 p.m. May 12 in the fellowship hall of United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd. The music will be from the 1940s through the 1980s and will feature the songs of Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and others. Restoration Fellowship Church, 280 Mariner Blvd., is a new nondenominational Holiness Church in the Wesleyan tradition. Services are at 8:45 for Sunday school and 10 a.m. for worship services at the Brewer and Sons Funeral Chapel. Call Pastor Art Cross at 942-0220 or Art Beatty at 688-4438.

Nativity Lutheran Church, 6363 Commercial Way, is accepting registrations for vacation Bible school. Registration is free until June 1. After that date it will be $5 per child. The school will run from 9 a.m. until noon June 18 through 22 for ages 5 through 12. The theme, "Quest for Truth," will provide an archaeological dig setting. Call Sandy at 592-5485.
