TAMPA - Alonso got another great pitching performance and scored in every inning to rout Olympia 9-1 and get one step closer to state.
Alonso(26-3) took the lead for good in the bottom of the first inning when starting pitcher Alex Panteliodis hit a sacrifice fly to score Chris Freshcorn and make it 2-1.
The Ravens broke the game open with a three-run second that chased pitcher Austin Steele. The big blow was Freshcorn's RBI double that scored Grant Gajdosz to make it 5-1.
Freshcorn, an HCC signee, went 4-for-4 and added three RBIs.
"Being at home definitely helps, " Freshcorn said. "I saw every ball really well, especially the curve balls."
After a rocky first inning, Panteliodis allowed just two hits in his final five innings to stay perfect on the season. Ray Delphey worked a perfect seventh.
Delphey also reached base all four times and knocked in two runs.
The Ravens will face the Sarasota-Melbourne winner on Tuesday night.
"We expect to win every game we play and to keep scoring a lot of runs, " said Freshcorn.
