Minister jailed on drug charges

TAMPA - Tampa police arrested a 70-year-old minister on cocaine charges in his church parking lot Sunday morning.

David Brian Anton, pastor of the Living Word Fellowship Church, 8216 N 13th St., had a crack pipe and a plastic bag containing 16 cocaine rocks in his left shirt pocket, according to an arrest report. Police were talking with Anton Sunday when he bent over to pick up a dropped marker, the report said. That's when an officer noticed the items in his pocket.

Anton of Land O'Lakes was arrested at 8:10 a.m. and remained in the Orient Road Jail Sunday night. His bail was set at $17, 500.
