Brown bag event focus is planning for disasters

ST. PETERSBURG The University of South Florida St. Petersburg is hosting a community brown bag discussion Friday to talk about disasters and disaster planning. The noon session, called "Coping With Disaster: Will We Ever Learn?, " includes discussions about public policy and whether communities in extremely hazardous areas should be rebuilt after disasters. The three-day event features hundreds of area home specialists to help with all kinds of projects. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
