Workshop to address concept of commitment

Author and minister Edwene Gaines will conduct a June 10 workshop called "Commitment - the Flame of Focused Passion" at First Unity Church. The 1:30 p.m. workshop will address finding a clear focus for your life and making it happen. Gaines is a Unity minister who wrote the book The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity. The workshop is open to the public. Gaines also will be the guest speaker at the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services on June 10 at the church, 460 46th Ave. N. Class introduces you to meditation

A Buddhist meditation evening is planned for May 21 at Living Room Yoga, 3015 Seventh St. N. Buddhist meditation teacher Angus Berry will present an introduction to meditation from the Kadampa Buddhist tradition. The class will include two guided meditations and a short talk, and is suitable for beginners. Everyone is welcome. 8-9:15 p.m. A donation of $9 or $5 students/limited income is suggested.
