Baseball

Tampa Bay Angels

The Tampa Bay Angels are forming two scout teams 16U 2009, 2010 grads. They will play tournaments around the state and have a baseball camp with many college coaches from around the state in June. Contact Chris Banks at 727-542-6245.

Summer Classic

College Baseball Advisors will be holding their fourth annual Summer Classic at Naimoli Complex June 22-24. Many College coaches from around the state will be in attendance. A college recruiting seminar will also be held on Friday night. Contact Chris Banks at 727-542-6245.

St. Petersburg RBI

The league for players 13-19 years old will hold registration from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at Oliver Field at Campbell Park. Participants must have a birth certificate, proof of a physical, two photo IDs and $45 registration fee. For information, call John at 374-6987.

Florida State Collegiate League

The league has spaces available for the summer season, which begins May 26. It is a wood bat league open to present and future college players. Call Reed McMillan at 798-3723 or Dick Neitz at (813) 961-2388.

Roughriders

The St. Petersburg Roughriders will be holding an open tryout for future and current college players on Sunday for the upcoming season. Call Don at 347-1108 or go to www.ballcharts.com/stpeteroughriders.

Shorecrest

Coaches Don and Curt Reed will hold a week long camp on June 4-7 and June 18-21 at the school. Cost is $125 per person. Call 525-1464 for information.

Burg Baseball

BASKETBALL

Tarpon Springs

The city's recreation department is offering summer basketball camps on June 11-15, July 9-13 and July 30-Aug. 3. Call Steve Plummer at 943-4900 ext. 154.

Boca Ciega Tournament

There will be a 30-and-over basketball tournament at Boca Ciega High School on Saturday, July 14. The cost is $120 per team. Contact William White at whitew@pcsb.org for information.

FOOTBALL

Football Camp

The East Lake Boosters are offering a camp for kids age 7-15 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on July 9-12. The camp is at East Lake High School and will be run by the school's football coaches. For information, call 939-1855 or 942-7616.

Gibbs Junior Gladiators

The league will have registration for football and cheerleading (ages 5-14) at the 31st Street Sports Complex. Dates are Saturday, May 26, June 9, 16, 23 and July 7, 14 and 21 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Call 822-5144 or 327-7867.

Tarpon Springs Junior Spongers

The league is holding football and cheerleading registration on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Tarpon Community Center. Call 939-2107.
