Club to perform at free organ concert

St. Paul the Apostle parish will host a free organ concert performed by the Hernando Concert Club at 4 p.m. Saturday at United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd. The concert will feature music from the 1940s through 1980s and will include hits from Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams.

Reggae beats, antique vehicles at bandshell
Henry Turner Jr. And Flavor will headline Reggae Bash from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Hernando Park bandshell, 205 E Fort Dade Ave. This is a free family-oriented concert hosted by the Hernando County Fine Arts Council and Bandshell Bash Committee. The event will include the Brooksville Cruise-In, an antique hot rod car and motorcycle show. There will also be an array of vendors, food and beverages. Motorcycle run to aid family of injured boy
Suncoast Motorcycle and Marine will host a motorcycle run to Sleepy Hollow on Saturday. This is a benefit run for the family of Joey Burns, a local teen who has been in a coma-like state since October, when he was hurt during a recreational football game.
Registration will be at 9 a.m., with the last bike out at noon, at Suncoast, 14430 Cortez Blvd.
Participants will be able to purchase a shirt and bike wash kit for $20, with all proceeds benefitting the Burns family. For information, call 796-6116.
Household hazardous waste to be collected
The Hernando County Commission, in conjunction with the Solid Waste and Recycling Division, will sponsor a household hazardous waste collection day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the south entrance to the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 S Broad St.
The household hazardous waste will be collected by EQ of Florida Inc. There is no charge to county residents for disposal of their own waste. Small businesses will be required to pay at the same rate as the county's contract, with payment made to EQ of Florida at the time of service. Prices for hazardous chemical removal and disposal is available at the Solid Waste and Recycling Division, 14450 Landfill Road.

Games, giveaways at Greatest Baby Shower
The 10th annual World's Greatest Baby Shower for expectant and new parents and guardians of babies through 12 months will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 19 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 13485 Spring Hill Drive.
Visitors will have a chance to win some of the numerous give-aways. There will be more than 30 exhibits featuring health, wellness, parenting and child development. There will also be games and a fashion show.
