DADE CITY - A 45-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday on a charge that she left an 11-year-old girl at the San Antonio Liquors Restaurant on State Road 52, according to reports from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
Linda Lee Jones, 33320 Larkin Road, was charged with aggravated child neglect in the incident, which happened Saturday. The girl told deputies that she went into the restaurant and saw Jones drive to the back of the business, then went outside and saw that Jones had left without her. A family friend picked the girl up, according to reports.
The same day that deputies say Jones left the girl, she was also arrested and charged with breaking into a neighbor's mobile home at 32240 Larkin Road, smashing several windows, damaging furniture and dumping food on the floor, according to reports.
Two knives and needle-nose pliers were left at the home. Jones later told deputies that she had been forced inside the home and broke a window to get out. She said she had been drinking and taking prescription drugs that caused her to black out. She said she woke up inside the mobile home.
Jones was charged with burglary and criminal mischief. She was released on $15, 500 bail about 2:45 Wednesday morning.
