Big band concert: The Frank Parsons 17-piece Big Band will perform at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. The cost is $6. For reservations, call the box office (727) 842-6777.
Corn Festival: Faith United Methodist Church will have its 20th annual Corn Festival from noon to 5 p.m. May 19 at 12128 State Road 52, Hudson. All the corn you can eat is will be served as part of a ham dinner. The cost is $7 for adults; $4 for children 5 to 12 and $20 for a family ticket. There will be entertainment by the Truck Stop Ministry, Crimson and a country-western trio. There will also be crafts for sale and an apple pie baking contest, with apple pie and ice cream sold after the judging. For information, call (727) 856-5000.
Bowling for charity: The Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation will have a charity bowl on May 19 at Lane Glo Bowl, 8621 Old County Road 54, New Port Richey. Registration will be at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. Bowling begins at 8 p.m. with three games. The entry fee for individual bowlers is $45, which includes dinner and door prize tickets. Lane sponsor packages are available for $220 and cover a team of five. Fundraiser: The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Pasco County, will have its first Buckets of Fun Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 19 at the Regency Park Civic Association, 10240 Regency Park Blvd., Port Richey. Small business owners from the local community are coming together to showcase their unique products while helping NAMI Pasco County Chapter.
