USF St. Petersburg to hold teachers' leadership institute

The College of Education at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg will host the second annual Teacher Leadership Institute: Teacher Leadership in Action from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 30-31 on the USF St. Petersburg campus.

Bay area teachers are invited to participate at no charge.

The Teacher Leadership Institute, sponsored by the College of Education, Progress Energy and Pinellas County Schools, emphasizes teachers' role as leaders and their ability to make a difference in their schools.

Lynne Miller, Ed.D, professor of educational leadership and co-executive director of the Southern Maine Partnership for school-university collaboration at the University of Southern Maine, is this year's keynote speaker.
