Ice cream, salad, pudding, yum!

Look for these new items at stores where you shop for food or kitchen equipment.
Edy's new Loaded ice cream
Edy's has introduced Loaded, a new product that combines candy and dessert favorites with ice cream. Available in five flavors - Nestle Butterfinger, Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cookies and Cream, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, the suggested retail price is $5.99 for 1.75 quarts.
Salads, good to go
The latest entry in the packaged salad wars is from Hillshire Farms, and it's in the lunch meat case. That's right: Each of the four kinds of what the labels call "entree salads" - chicken Caesar, turkey and ham chef, turkey and cranberries, and chicken and bacon club - includes separately packaged bits of meat, cheese, dressing and topping, totaling about 5 1/2 ounces, all in a plastic tub the size of half a cantaloupe. You add the lettuce. At one discount supermarket it was $2.99 (without the lettuce).
More pudding to love
The folks at Jell-O have produced a set of new flavors of instant pudding: chocolate caramel chip (chocolate instant pudding with caramel chips), chocolate mint chip (chocolate fudge instant pudding with mint chips) and Oreo cookies and creme (cookies and creme instant pudding with pieces of Oreo cookies).
Popped pleasures
Kettlecorn often tastes cloyingly sweet, but the Popcorn, Indiana brand's four flavors wowed us with perfectly balanced sweet-salty flavors: plain, smoked Cheddar, Summer Picnic BBQ and spicy honey mustard. A 4-ounce bag is $2 to $3.70 at Whole Foods Market and some Walgreens. Flavors vary by store, but all are sold online at popcornindiana.com.

Where celebrities eat
Top Five: Celebrity Food Joints! looks at where the stars go to eat, plus the cult of celebrity surrounding some chefs. And it's not enough for some actors to make movies; they also want to make food, like salad dressing. See their stories, too. Airs Monday morning at 9:30 on the Food Network.
