Commission to discuss road improvements

COMMISSION TO DISCUSS ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
The Hernando County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. today in the commission chambers at Hernando County Government Center, 20 N Main St., Brooksville. Among items to be discussed will be the EMS stroke transport protocol with Hernando County Fire Rescue and Spring Hill Fire Rescue, and the purchase agreement for the Elgin Boulevard road improvements.
Historical advisory group to gather
The Hernando County Historical Advisory Commission will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the council chambers at Brooksville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave. This is a newly appointed commission created to promote public interest in the county's history and to preserve and document its history. Eat, play, win at motorcycle run
ABATE of Florida, Freedom Chapter will host a Motorcycle Awareness Run on Saturday, starting at Beef O'Brady's, 9201 County Line Road, Spring Hill. Signups start at 10:30 a.m. The run will start at noon and go to the Hernando County Government Center at 20 N Main St., Brooksville, where a resolution will be given on motorcycle safety and awareness. The run will continue and end at the Rebar at 10123 N Broad St., Brooksville. Participants will be asked to give a $10 donation, with funds going toward motorcycle awareness signs. Greatest Baby Shower Saturday
The 10th annual World's Greatest Baby Shower for expectant and new parents and guardians of babies through 12 months will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 13485 Spring Hill Drive.
