The day in Lindsay Lohan

According to Maxim, Lindsay Lohan is the hottest woman in the world. The actor-troublemaker tops the magazine's eighth annual "Hot 100" list, a ranking by editors weighing buzz and beauty for women in film, TV, music, sports and fashion. "There is no other star in the world (who) causes more of a stir in the public eye than Lindsay, " editor in chief Jimmy Jellinek said in a statement reported by the Associated Press. Not surprisingly, Jellinek described his young, male readership as being "obsessed" with the 20-year-old Lohan, a ubiquitous party girl who spent the weekend soaking up the sun (with a new boyfriend) in the Bahamas. Jessica Alba had to settle with being No. 2. She's followed in the top five by Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera and Jessica Biel.

- Meanwhile, Lohan and her mother have been sued by a freelance photographer who claims the actor hit him with a car in New York. Giovanni Arnold claims he "sustained severe and permanent personal injuries" when she struck him with her mother's BMW on March 13; he reportedly was following Lohan in a pack of paparazzi. Arnold suffered injuries to both knees and was "still getting medical treatment, " his lawyer, Marc Mauser, said in an Associated Press report. He said Arnold was seeking unspecified monetary damages for pain, suffering and lost wages. Lohan's lawyer wasn't available for comment. Lohan reportedly told the New York Post in March that Arnold was knocked down by another photographer who jumped on the hood of the car.
