Clarification

A Monday story on the voluntary prekindergarten program in Hernando County provided incomplete information on eligibility requirements. Students must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to qualify for the summer program, but children who are 4 years old by that date are eligible to participate in the regular school-year program.
