Brooksville Regional Hospital Auxiliary Cookbook Sale: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., hospital cafeteria, 17240 Cortez Blvd., west of Brooksville. The auxiliary will sell copies of the Brooksville Garden Club's most recent cookbook, A Taste of Brooksville. "Pasture Weed Management" Class for Small Farmers: 5:30 p.m., Hernando County Cooperative Extension Service, 19490 Oliver St., Brooksville. The speaker will be regional specialized extension agent Stacy Strickland, who will discuss best management practices to control pasture weeds of economic impact. The class is free. There is also an exhibit of African art, courtesy of Elaine Carnette of Brooksville, along with semi-precious jewelry designed and crafted by Lynda Spencer Ryan. Speakers will include Mellita Mills-Kendrick from the Hillsborough County Health Department and Laura Dunn from the Hernando County Health Department. The seminar is free.
