Long lasting: In his last start, Scott Kazmir struck out nine but left after four innings because he had thrown 109 pitches. He said he felt as confident in his pitches in his last start as he has all season, but he has to avoid the long inning.

Wash-out: Seattle starter Jarrod Washburn has dominated the Rays. With a career 9-2 record and a 2.61 ERA in 31 starts, he has beaten Tampa Bay more than any other team.
